Legris started out as a small valve making factory in France in 1848. They created the world’s first push-in fitting for which they won numerous international awards achieving ISO 9001 certification by 2001. By the beginning of the 21th century they had a presence in 35 countries including South America, South Africa and India. In 2008 Legris merged with Parker Hannifin Corporation, a leading manufacturer of motion and control technologies to become Parker Legris.
