La-Co Industries was founded in 1934 in the US by Dr Lester Aronberg who created the Stick-o-Paint which later evolved into the Market B Paintstick. The Paintstick was developed for use in niche markets including livestock marking where it was extremely successful.
The company expanded to produce industrial hand-held markers, plumbing chemicals and livestock identification products. In 2009 La-Co acquired Intrama in France and temperature indication company Tempil in 2013. They may have a global presence but after 80 years La-Co is still run as a family business.
